I have spent my Adult life considering myself  ”good”  or  “bad” depending on my weight and/or size. If I am currently a size 8 or 10, and dieting (usually starving), I am GOOD.  If I am a size 12, and in an eating free-for-all, I am BAD. Foods have also been grouped into BAD or GOOD categories.  I am beginning to realize that I have worth at any size, and that starving myself is just another way to punish myself for my BAD behavior.

Carrie Keller, my Weight Loss Coach (I should just call her my life coach at this point), has been SO amazing.  She listens, understands, and gives solid, well-thought out advice. She has helped me realize that there is much more to weight loss than just the numbers on the scale.  Dr. Baalmann and her staff have designed a wonderful program that takes the whole person into account.  The Medifast program that I am on has taken all of the ‘stress’ out of eating. There is no BAD or GOOD.  Just food.  Carrie has been through all of this. She totally gets it. And slowly, I am learning to let my guard down. (As evidenced by the tear-filled eyes I had today).

The weight is steadily coming off, week after week. My clothes are feeling looser. The most important thing, though, is that I am learning the skills needed to FIX the weight issues once and for all. I know you can do it too. Carrie was formerly obese, and now she is a marathon runner! I am finally learning to love myself and to live healthy. If we can do it…you can too!
