In a special broadcast to celebrate Black History Month, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle are bringing in a spectacular line up of performers to pay tribute to Motown music.

The White House confirms that [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]John Legend[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Smokey Robinson[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Sheryl Crow[/lastfm] are scheduled to perform at the special show in the White House that will air later this month.

To honor the great performers in Motown music for Black History Month, The White House will be bringing in the line up of singers for a celebratory concert. It will be taped and aired on PBS on Feb. 24 as part of the “In Performance at the White House” series.

The Obamas have hosted big musical events live from the White House honoring various genres including jazz, country and Broadway. Michelle Obama also hosts daytime programs for students to get educated in music and the performing arts.
