You probably think that Jingle Bells is one of the most popular and well known Christmas songs. Well, if you did you’d be wrong, not because it isn’t popular, but because it is technically a Thanksgiving song! Written in 1857 under the title of One Horse Open Sleigh, the song was so popular as a Thanksgiving tune that it was sung again at Christmas.

The melody for Jingle Bells is one of the most easily identifiable out there, and jazz pianist [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Diana Krall[/lastfm] puts a very interesting spin on the song we all know so well. Backed by The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Krall sings and plays Jingle Bells like you’ve never heard it before.
