Women Faked Injuries To Collect Sugarland Stage Collapse Money

Two Indiana women are accused of faking injuries, trying to profit from the tragic Sugarland stage collapse earlier this year.

Stephanie Murry (25) and Sandra Hurn (38) are facing charges after trying to take $22,500 from the Indiana State Fair Rememberance Fund and the Indiana Tort Claim Fund. Their stories didn’t exactly measure up when they asked for the cash. One said that Sugarland had already started performing when the stage collapsed. Investigators concluded the women weren’t even at the concert.

Hurn could get 36 years in prison. Murry faces 14 years.

On a happier note, with the holiday spirit still with us, enjoy this Sugarland performance of “Winter Wonderland!”
