How many times have you ever been watching your favorite local newscast and commented about the anchor’s hairstyle or sports reporter’s new tie?

We’ve all done that before. Knowing that, it’s one of the upsides of working in radio as opposed to TV….we don’t have to look a certain way or god forbid, wear makeup. (and believe me, that’s not anything you’d ever want to see.)

Unfortunately in the case of Jennifer Livingston, a news anchor at WKBT in La Crosse, Wisconsin, one viewer went way over the line with an e-mail attack on her appearance. In the email, he stated that Livingston was not providing “a suitable example for this community’s young people, girls in particular, ” by appearing on television despite being overweight.

Jennifer’s husband is also an anchor for the station, and he posted the email on the station’s Facebook page.  The response was overwhelming, and as opposed to ignoring the attack, she decided to put the bully in his place.

Nicely done!
