Nobody Sat at Tony Soprano’s Booth Last Night

The very last scene of the Sopranos was filmed at a small luncheonette/Confectioner called “Holsten’s” on Broad St. in Bloomfield, New Jersey.

Tony sat at that table with his wife, Carmella and his son, A.J. enjoying some onion rings, listening to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” on the jukebox, waiting for big sister Meadow to arrive to have dinner with them.  There was a shady looking guy sitting at the counter who kept looking back at Tony.  Then the shady guy walks right by Tony’s table to use the rest room.  Just as Meadow arrives, the shady guy comes out of the rest room and television went black, the music stopped abruptly and millions of Americans said, “Oh, the cable goes out now?”  Then the credits rolled and the Sopranos was over.

Holsten’s paid tribute to James Gandolfini last night by putting a “reserved” sign on that table where Tony sat for the final moments of the Sopranos.
