Heart disease kills more women than all forms of cancer combined. Sadly, most women don’t notice the symptoms of heart disease until it’s too late, which is why heart disease has been called the silent killer. But we won’t be silent because heart disease is no match for the power of women’s voices.

Wear red & raise your voice on February 7th for National Wear Red Day.

What is Go Red For Women?

Go Red For Women started 10 years ago because the American Heart Association learned that more women were tying from heart disease than men. Now they’re the worlds largest network of women fighting to protect ourselves from the dangers of heart disease. And they’re making a difference!

In their first 10 years, more than 627,000 lives have been saved from cardiovascular diseases. That’s a 34 percent decrease in deaths. They still have more work to do because heart disease is still the number 1 killer of women–killing more women than all forms of cancer combined.

Go Red For Women educates and connects hundreds of thousands of women and offers tools to help women make lifesaving choices — choices to protect their health and reduce their risk of heart disease and stroke.
