5 Reasons To Come To St. Louis Uncorked

One of the main reasons I love St. Louis is there is always something to do in this unique city. If you find yourself bored here, then you’re simply not trying too hard to get out of the house. We’ve got some of the best farmers markets and unique independent stores bringing us the best from the surrounded area, some of the best local, craft breweries slinging some of the thirst quenching brews in the Midwest, food, food and more food — our restaurant scene is ridiculously tasty and musicians always find time to make a Midwest stop right here in our backyard.

So with that being said, you can experience all this and more at this year’s St. Louis Uncorked — and get your First Sip of Summer at festival that’s staying in downtown STL this year! Still need convincing to come on out to Soldiers’ Memorial on June 6th & 7th? Well, here’s 5!

Maybe you don’t understand this, but this event is entirely FREE. You got it? It’s free entertainment, a free opportunity to meet new people, free fun to be had. You’ll see free live music from Andy Grammer, MAGIC! and Marie Miller on Friday, June 6th on the Massage Envy Mainstage. You know, all for free. And on Saturday? We’ve got A Great Big World, Oh, Honey and Jillette Johnson performing, again for free. If you don’t know much about these artists, you’re missing out. Get educated by checking them out here. There will be a green carpet — yes green, thanks to Cricket Wireless — to strut your stuff down and pose for some pics, the Ranken Jordan Kid Zone to have some fun with the kiddos and the Pure Leaf Perfect Pairings — a lounge area with Dolnicks & the Pure Leaf crew showing what food to serve with their tea. — All that is free my friends. Take advantage of this opportunity to have fun next weekend.

You can’t really have a music festival without some wine sampling & beer sipping now could you? Don’t worry, friends. Uncorked will happily provide you with some free wine samples from some of the best wineries in the country including Crown Valley Winery, Cedar Lake Cellars, Illinois Wines by Mary Michelle Winery, St. James Winery and Stone Hill Winery.¬† . But maybe wine’s not your thing? Don’t fret. Be sure to bring some cash and enjoy some of the coldest beers from some local favorites like Square One Brewery & Distillery, Kirkwood Station Brewing and O’Fallon Brewery.

Don’t forget you can also buy tickets to get a little VIP treatment. Enjoy a unique beer tasting at the Stella Artois Beer Pairing Experience with food provided by Bunge North America. To get tickets and to view the menus, click here. And if you can’t make it Friday, no worries. Saturday Uncorked will be having the VIP Bud Light Party Tent with all inclusive drinks, food & private lounge area — always important at any festival. Get tickets for the Bud Light Party Tent here.

That’s right, the party goes for two days this year. In previous years, CBS Radio St. Louis hosted Uncorked for one night only, but this year they’re kicking it up a notch. If Friday works more for your schedule, perfect! Stop on by and enjoy wine & food and live music from Andy Grammer, MAGIC! and Marie Miller. Or maybe Saturday works better for you and your friends & family, don’t worry. There’s plenty of wine, food & live entertainment to go around. Stop on by any time that works for you and get your “First Sip Of Summer.”

Just like plenty of drink options to quench your thirst, you’ll need some food to curb your appetite. Uncorked will have plenty of food vendors for you to enjoy. Some of the restaurants that will be there are Ruth’s Chris,¬† Aye Sofia, Nathalie’s, Tenacious Eats, Hiro, Lorusso’s Wildflower, Molly’s and Bailey’s. — Quite the variety of restaurants to serve you some delicious eats. And that’s not eat. A couple weeks ago, I talked about some of the best Food Trucks in St. Louis. Well, now you can expereince them at Uncorked! Enjoy grub from Destination Desserts, Slice of The Hill, Russos Trucktoria, Sia’s Italian Ice, Steak Louie, Vincent Van Doughnut, LeTanja Food Truck, Steamrollwer, Go Gyro Go, L’Ecole and Yemanja Food Truck! So many great eats to get your noms on.

Many people are upset that Taste of St. Louis & The Blues and Jazz Festival got moved out to Chesterfieldn, no longer remaining in the heart of St. Louis. Well, fear not loyal St. Louisans, Uncorked is remaining in St. Louis. Taking place in Soldiers’ Memorial, this free festival is easily accessible from car, bus, bike & MetroLink. CBS Radio St. Louis wouldn’t want to take something like this great festival and move it out where many folks don’t feel like making the trek. So, come out and enjoy the festivities in downtown St. Louis — one of the best places to enjoy live music, food, & of course, ice cold drinks.

Hope to see everyone out at Uncorked June 6th & 7th for this awesome festival. For even more details, visit Y98.com/uncorked!
