The handwritten manuscript for Bob Dylan’s “Like A Rolling Stone” sold Tuesday for just over $2 million at Sotheby’s auction house in New York.

The identity of the buyer was not released, but the purchase price bested the previous record of $1.2 million paid in 2010 for John Lennon’s lyrics to “A Day in the Life” from “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.”

One of the most legendary rock songs of the 1960’s was Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone.” Sotheby’s is auctioning off the hand-written final draft of the legendary tune and it could get millions.

The final draft of the lyrics is four pages and includes revisions, notes and even doodles hand written on hotel stationary.

Experts say the manuscript could fetch somewhere between $1 million and $2 million.

“Like a Rolling Stone” was name one of the greatest rock songs of all time by Rolling Stone magazine. Dylan still performs at his concerts.

With handwritten lyrics that may get $2 Million at auction, we have to ask: How does it feel?
