Have you noticed how disinterested Pat Sajak seems these days?
No amount of makeup can hide his ambivalence about hosting “Wheel Of Fortune” lately.
It’s not really surprising if you think about it. The only real surprise is that he’s made it through 30+ years as host of the show without having some sort of on-air breakdown. We’ve actually written about this HERE.
It’s pretty clear when you watch that something about him seems different. Maybe it’s the way he summarily dismisses losing contestants after a particularly poor performance, the deep breath before he corrects a bad answer, that incredulous look off into the distance as he feigns interest in hearing about how yet another contestant met their spouse.
They’re all signs of a man who might need to “explore some other creative options.”
It’s no wonder he’s admitted to having hosted the show drunk “so many times.”
That said, he is one of the greatest game show hosts of all time. We’re talking Gene Rayburn territory here!
They must be paying him a fortune.
So when he warned this woman to “carefully go ahead,” before naming all seven dwarfs, you just knew something weird and uncomfortable was about to happen.
So did he.
