HarperCollins announced on Monday that Harper Lee’s new novel Go Set a Watchman sold more than one million copies in its first week of release. According to the Associated Press, the book remained at #1 on both Amazon.com and BarnesAndNoble.com on Monday and is the fastest-selling book ever released by HarperCollins. Released on July 14, Watchman was completed before Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning To Kill a Mockingbird, but is set in the same Alabama community 20 years later.
