Multiple outlets are reporting that longtime fiances Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux threw a lavish party at their Bel Air mansion yesterday that looked an awful lot like a wedding. According to TMZ, Aniston told friends it was a 44th birthday bash for Theroux, whose birthday isn’t until August 10. Meanwhile, paparazzi pics show a pastor entering their home while wearing a purple stole and carrying what looks like a Bible, and a giant shed was built in the backyard last week to hide party supplies and furniture that were set up yesterday afternoon. In addition to receiving her Walk of Fame star on Tuesday, Mariah Carey was revealed as the latest artist to join the cast of Empire. Carey’s longtime friend and the show’s co-creator Lee Daniels made the announcement during her induction ceremony yesterday. “Watch her on Empire you guys! She’s coming on Empire,” he declared. While FOX has yet to confirm Carey’s involvement, the singer previously worked with Daniels in films including 2008’s Tennessee, 2009’s Precious and 2013’s The Butler. Season two of Empire premieres on September 23. LOVE this show!
Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Kim Richards’ family is considering putting her on an involuntary psychiatric hold called a 5150, following her shoplifting arrest at Target over the weekend. “The way a 5150 would benefit Kim is that it allows her to get the treatment she needs and it also stops her from signing herself out of the hospital,” psychotherapist Dr. Robi Ludwig explains to the outlet. “Once the family commits someone involuntarily, they are saying, ‘My family member is in the hands of the medical staff or a mental health attorney.'” Celebs who have been placed under the 5150 hold in the past include Britney Spears and Amanda Bynes.
