On Friday in Asheville, North Carolina, some prankster placed several fake parking tickets on the windshields of unsuspecting motorists. Not only did the bogus citations call for $100 fines instead of the usual $10, but they featured a code that, if scanned with someone’s smartphone, immediately caused the YouTube video for Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” to play. “Oh, they’re Rickrolling with tickets?” one visitor from Atlanta, who was in town for a college basketball tournament, told WLOS. “That’s atrocious. We got past the 80’s, I thought. That’s pretty bad. It’s a waste of time.” Police say whoever’s found responsible will be charged with littering.
