A rescue dog in California recently donated blood in an effort to save the eyesight of a kitten. UPI reports that a family in Sacramento recently contacted their local SPCA animal shelter after two stray kittens showed up in their yard in not-so-great shape; one had two ulcers in his eye and couldn’t really see. To fight the terrible eye infection, SPCA worker Sarah Varanini had her rescue dog Jemmie donate blood to create a serum for the kitten. The kitten is now on the mend and Jemmie is now doing what she loves best: Playing with the kittens.
