In a new interview with The New York Times, Julia Louis-Dreyfus recalls her time on Saturday Night Live in the ‘80s–and admits that it wasn’t always pleasant. “I did not come out of SNL as any kind of name. I didn’t do anything particularly great when I was there. I didn’t. It’s fine,” the Veep actress recalls. “But I learned a tremendous amount. It was a very sexist environment.” Dreyfus, who will host this weekend’s episode of the sketch comedy show, goes on to explains that is has become “much more of an equal-opportunity environment” in the years since she left.
