A hilarious apology cake baked by an Alabama mom has gone viral after her 20-year-old daughter recently tweeted a photo of it.
Rachel Gelmis explained that back when she was 16, she took a drug test that came back indicating that she was using marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and meth.
“I was freaking out!” Gelmis tells Buzzfeed. “I was so scared. I kept racking my brain for a reason that I might have tested positive for everything, and I had no idea.”
Her school discovered shortly after that they had misread the results and that Gelmis was completely clean. Hence, her mom made her an orange cake that says in blue icing, “Sorry we thought you did meth & coke & pot & heroin.”
It also includes a sad face for good measure. The University of Alabama student says that she and her mom now look back at the incident and laugh.
“We definitely bonded over it,” she says. “We still talk about it a lot.”
