Anna Kendrick, John Lithgow and Jimmy Fallon read aloud ghost stories written by kids on Friday’s episode of The Tonight Show. The unintentionally hilarious tales included gems like “The Anonymous Man,” which was about a boy being chased by a guy he couldn’t see. “I was so scared my underwear almost came off,” Fallon recited. “He could be in your house, and he might scare your underwear off.” Meanwhile, Kendrick read aloud “The Hungry Ghost,” about a spooky creature who became sad after people refused to give him candy for Halloween. “He got so hungry that he went to McDonald’s and got a cheeseburger, and even a milkshake because his mom said he could have one,” she declared. Understandably, all three of the guests had a hard time keeping a straight face during the segment.
